Filson Oil Finish Wax is the secret to keeping your favourite waxed cotton jacket, bag or other gear ready for whatever the weather throws at it. Think of it as a little maintenance for a long and happy life on the trail.

Made with a paraffin-based formula, this original Filson wax restores the water resistance of oil-finish fabrics and helps keep them performing as they should. Rain, mud and years of hard use can gradually wear down the wax coating, but there's no need to retire your trusty old jacket. A fresh coat of wax will help bring it back into fighting shape.

Applying it is simple. Spread a thin, even layer over the fabric, paying extra attention to seams and areas that see plenty of wear. Then warm the wax gently with a hair dryer or heat gun to help it soak into the cloth. Let it cool, and you're ready to head back outdoors.

🧼 Care & Application

Brush off dirt or wipe the garment clean with a damp cloth before applying wax. Spread an even layer of Filson Oil Finish Wax over the fabric, then use a hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting to help it absorb. Rewax whenever needed to maintain water resistance.

Do not machine wash or dry clean oil-finish garments. Avoid prolonged contact between freshly waxed gear and light-coloured fabrics, especially in warm weather, as oils may transfer.
