Built for the Woods, Dressed for the Railroad
The Pike Brothers 1942 Hunting Pant combines old-school outdoor clothing with one of the most distinctive fabrics in American workwear: blue Wabash denim. Originally designed with the outdoors in mind, these are sturdy, practical trousers with enough character to make ordinary blue jeans look positively shy.
The fabric is a substantial 13 oz Wabash selvedge denim made from 100% cotton. Wabash is especially associated with American railroad workwear of the early 20th century, where its characteristic dotted stripes became a familiar sight. Like good denim, the indigo fabric will develop more character with wear.
The cut has a normal waist and regular fit, while proper old-school details include a cinch back and suspender buttons. A D-ring is provided for a keychain – handy also for a pocket-watch, should your daily schedule still depend on the 4:15 freight train.
