Collection: H Bar C

In 1906, Samuel Christenfeld and Mel Halpern joined forces and formed a company called Halpern and Christenfeld. After a few years Christenfeld bought out Halpern, and changed the name to H-C for legal purposes. Shortly after he changed the name to H Bar C.

H Bar C supplied clothes for many western movies clothing the likes of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Elvis Presley, and John Travolta to name a few.

Post WWII, H Bar C recruited Nudie Cohn, the famous Rodeo Tailor to begin designing shirts for the brand. They pushed the limits with embroidery and appliqué work, and many of these advances became the new standards in western wear.

In the late 90's, manufacturing in LA became unfeasible to provide the same quality for competitive prices, so they took a hiatus from production. Thus, H Bar C vintage pieces exploded in popularity.

In 2016, H Bar C re-launched the production. Their mission is to be a unique brand catering to those who don't mind standing out.
