"Shirt" is a bit of an understatement here, folks. With the thick 21oz. denim, we'd definitely call this more like a jacket.

The "CPO shirt" was originally worn by the US Navy and designed for Chief Petty Officers (CPOs). It is a heavy shirt, usually made of wool, which is often worn as a kind of light jacket. Its characteristics are its robust materials, two breast pockets and a classic collar. Originally part of the uniform, it has found its way into civilian outdoor wear over the years.

The 1967 CPO Shirt is a further development and features two additional slip pockets.
The 21oz. denim is produced exclusively in Japan according to an old recipe, and on old shooter-looms at the Collect weaving mill.
