🔥 The Buffalo Plaid Reimagined
Here’s a piece that captures the heart of American outdoor style — a 1960s/1970s Pendleton wool coat, proudly Made in the USA from 100% virgin wool. The pattern pays homage to the legendary buffalo plaid but with a fresh twist — the fabric is woven with a subtle flaring texture that gives the red and black checks a rich, dynamic depth. It’s an unmistakable vintage Pendleton masterpiece, built to last and designed to impress.
This coat features snap-closure chest pockets and buttoned front and cuffs (the cuff buttons have been replaced). There’s also a story stitched into it — a small hole on the left elbow has been professionally repaired by the Lasso repair team, and their craftsmanship blends seamlessly into the garment. Otherwise, it’s in great condition and ready for many more years of wear.
🧶 What Is Virgin Wool?
Virgin wool means wool that has never been recycled or processed before. It’s stronger, softer, and more elastic than recycled wool, making it exceptionally durable and comfortable. Pendleton has long been known for using high-quality virgin wool to create outerwear that’s as warm as it is beautiful.
