⭐ Serious Old-School Duty Gear
This is the real deal: a substantial black leather duty belt by Bianchi, one of the best-known names in professional leather duty gear. Originally designed as working equipment rather than a fashion accessory, it also makes one seriously handsome belt for anyone into rugged Americana, Western wear and vintage uniform gear.
The wide black leather has a classic basketweave embossed pattern, bordered by decorative tooling along the edges. It gives the belt plenty of visual texture without turning it into full rodeo territory.
Then there's that buckle. Instead of the usual permanently attached buckle and single prong, this one uses a removable rectangular metal buckle with two prongs. The buckle can be separated from the belt, making the whole arrangement unusually quick and practical to attach or remove. It's a clever piece of purpose-built hardware and a great part of the belt's character.
The belt remains in great vintage condition. The black leather still looks handsome and substantial, the basketweave pattern is crisp and the hardware has just the sort of age that suits a piece like this.
🇺🇸 About Bianchi
Bianchi was founded by John Bianchi in 1958 after he began making leather holsters while working in law enforcement. The company went on to become one of the major American names in professional holsters and duty equipment, supplying products for law-enforcement, military and sporting use. Bianchi's reputation was built particularly around functional design, leather craftsmanship and equipment made to withstand serious everyday use.
By 1975, Bianchi had already manufactured more than a million holsters, which gives some idea of the company's importance in American duty gear. The brand remains active today as part of the Safariland Group, and Bianchi still produces professional duty belts and accessories.
That heritage makes an older leather Bianchi belt particularly appealing today: it has the unmistakable look of genuine professional equipment, but works equally well as a rugged vintage belt with denim, workwear or Western clothing.
