Board Shirt
Got a hankerin' for some classic brown plaid in your wardrobe? Look no further, cowpoke! The timeless "Board Shirt" from Pendleton, made with 100% pure virgin wool, has been a staple for decades. We're guessin' this one's from the 1960s and it's only gotten better with age (just like a good bottle of whiskey!). It's got a few holes (see photos), but they just add to its rugged charm.
Remember, vintage Pendletons are "Dry Clean Only" so treat 'em with some love, partner!

The Pendleton Board Shirt
The Pendleton Board Shirt is a legend in its own right. Back in the 50s, Pendleton whipped up this woolen wonder for surfers in chilly California waters. It was warm as a campfire on a cold night and stylish enough to turn heads from the beach to the bar. With its straight-cut hem, it was perfect for that laid-back, untucked look surfers loved.
The Beach Boys were such big fans of Pendleton they originally called themselves "The Pendletones!" They famously wore Pendleton Board Shirts on the cover of their debut album "Surfin' Safari", released in 1962. The shirt became a symbol of cool, blending surf culture with timeless cowboy craftsmanship. Even today, it’s still a go-to for anyone who loves a bit of classic, rugged style.
