L-2B Civilian model with camouflage fabric
The Light Zone series L-2B, adopted in the 1950s, was extremely popular among soldiers as a lightweight and athletic jacket. At the time of the Vietnam War, it was possible to have tailor-made jackets made locally for a very low price. Soldiers would take the type of jacket they wanted to make to tailor stores around the base and ask them to make a jacket with the same design using camouflage fabric. Thus, jackets with tiger stripes and leaf patterns began to be made, and became very popular in all branches of the military, both land, sea, and air.
