🤠 Fringe Benefits
Hot dang, this one's a beauty. An original Joo Kay Fringed Suede Jacket from approximately the 1960s–70s, made in the USA and finished in gorgeous rich brown suede. The generous fringe runs across the chest and back yokes, shoulders, sleeves, pockets and hem, giving it that unmistakable old-school Western look with plenty of movement.
The jacket features metal snap buttons, large front pockets and a smooth lining, and has survived the decades in remarkably fine condition. Throw it over a pearl-snap shirt, add some well-worn denim and boots, and you're halfway to the Sunset Strip by way of the American frontier. A true vintage find! 🌵
🦅 American Fringe
Fringed suede and leather jackets became an enduring part of American Western style before finding a whole new audience during the counterculture years of the 1960s and 1970s. Cowboys, musicians, bikers and rock 'n' rollers all put their own spin on the look, turning the fringed jacket into one of the era's most recognizable pieces of Americana.
