The Master Supply Co. Goldrush Leather Jacket takes the classic 1960s trucker jacket and gives it a proper dose of rugged Western attitude. Pleated front panels, four exterior pockets and subtle Western detailing on the chest pockets create a silhouette that feels somewhere between ranch wear, vintage workwear and an old denim jacket translated into leather.

The real star is the leather. Master Supply makes the Goldrush from substantial 1.3–1.5 mm full-grain cowhide with a semi-vegetable tan and hand-applied oil-wax treatment. Rather than staying pristine, it's designed to develop tonal variation and an increasingly personal patina as it gets worn. This particular jacket has already done some of that work: it's nicely broken in with plenty of character, yet remains in great condition.

Inside is a soft cotton buffalo-plaid lining plus two interior breast pockets – one zipped and one open. Antique-brass hardware and button cuffs finish things off nicely. The jacket is designed in Toronto and made in Master Supply Co.'s own dedicated workshop in Pakistan.
