These Tellason Elgin Mid-Rise Slim Tapered Selvedge Jeans bring together two mighty fine denim traditions: proprietary Japanese fabric from Kaihara and construction in San Francisco, USA. The substantial 14.75oz 100% cotton selvedge denim is sanforized and tightly woven, designed to break in with wear while developing its own fades and character.

The Elgin takes Tellason's slim-tapered silhouette and gives it a mid-rise for a little more room up top. In fact, Tellason developed the model after customers asked for a higher-rise version of their Ladbroke Grove—the Elgin adds about 3.8 cm to the rise while retaining the other dimensions. Details include a button fly, heavyweight pocket bags, reinforced back pockets, chainstitched hems and a Tanner Goods leather patch.

Founded in Hiroshima in 1893, Kaihara grew from traditional indigo-dyed textile production into one of Japan's renowned denim mills. Tellason has used proprietary Kaihara fabrics since 2019, and this 14.75oz denim was developed specifically for the brand.
