The Filson Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser in Dark Tan is one of those pieces of workwear that has been copied endlessly for a reason. Built from Filson's legendary 14 oz Tin Cloth, it's a seriously tough waxed-cotton jacket designed to shrug off weather, brambles and the everyday abuse of working outdoors.

The Tin Cloth is produced by historic British manufacturer British Millerain. Its exceptionally tight weave provides impressive tear resistance and water resistance, while the wax finish adds another layer of protection. Like heavy denim, it starts out substantial and gradually breaks in and moulds to the wearer, developing its own creases and character along the way.

The hip-length cut keeps trouser pockets and tool belts accessible and won't ride up when seated. Lightweight canvas lines the torso, while smooth polyester-twill sleeve lining makes layering easier. Add metal-shank buttons, reinforced hand pockets and purpose-built chest storage, and you've got a jacket that clearly expects to earn its keep.

📏 Fit

Trim fit designed primarily for wearing over a shirt. If you plan to wear heavier layers underneath, consider sizing up.

🧼 Care

Do not wash or dry clean. Brush off dirt or wipe clean with a damp cloth. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance.

Because of the oil finish, avoid prolonged contact with light-coloured fabrics, particularly in warm weather, as the wax and oils may transfer.
