♣️ Not Your Average Belt Buckle
A wonderfully unusual vintage black leather belt with details that give it a distinctly old-time Western character. The maker is unknown, but whoever designed it clearly had more imagination than the average belt department.
The star of the show is the beautifully shaped metal buckle. Its soft, rounded clover-like outline is far more decorative than a conventional rectangular buckle, while the aged brass-tone finish gives it plenty of vintage character.
The other end of the belt tapers noticeably towards the tip. Once fastened, that narrow end slips neatly into a round leather keeper or pocket positioned beside the buckle. It's a small but particularly handsome construction detail and gives the whole belt a clean, slightly dressier appearance.
The black leather itself is soft and relatively lightweight rather than thick saddle leather. We'd describe this as a more delicate vintage belt – something for trousers and jeans rather than a heavy-duty work belt or a platform for a two-pound rodeo buckle.
A characterful old piece with just the right amount of Western eccentricity.
