Panhandle Slim, also known simply as Panhandle, has a rich history rooted in the spirit of the American West. Founded in 1946 by German immigrants Ernest and Martin Hochster, the company started in Minneapolis before eventually relocating to Fort Worth, Texas. Panhandle's first Western shirt, "The Gambler," was a big success. The brand continued to grow, especially during the "Urban Cowboy" craze of the 1980s.
